Rubber Duck Race 2026

Join Cosmic at 12pm on Thursday 30th July 2026 at Merchant Square, Paddington Basin for the annual Cosmic Rubber Duck Race!

We’ll be launching over 3,000 sponsored rubber ducks into the Merchant Square Canal, where they’ll bob and weave their way to the finish line. If your duck crosses in one of the top spots, you could walk away with one of our incredible prizes — including return Standard Eurostar tickets to a destination of your choice.

Join us from 11am for face painting, music, and to discover more of what Merchant Square has to offer!

Duck sales will close at 12:00 noon on race day, 30th July 2026 – so buy your ducks now!

But there’s more! Why not stick around for our Cosmic Dragon Boat Race which will commence at 5pm and watch the 22 teams battle it out on the water!

Both events are free to attend and are in partnership with Merchant Square, who help raise funds for Cosmic from both events.

All funds raised will go towards the ongoing work Cosmic does supporting babies and children in intensive care, their families, and the dedicated team of NHS staff who care for them at St Mary’s Hospital, Paddington and Queen Charlotte’s Hospital, Hammersmith.

Once you’ve purchased your duck (or ducks!), you’ll receive an email confirmation with your assigned duck number(s). Please take note of these and remember to check your spam folder if it doesn’t arrive in your inbox.
